The Road Less Traveled:
Brett's journey led her to pursue office administration and production scheduling in her early adulthood, while always keeping her artistic endeavors alive on the side. However, driven by her thirst for exploration and creative freedom, she made the courageous decision to transition to remote and part-time work, enabling her to travel more and fully devote herself to her creative business. Today, she immerses herself solely in the world of art.
Nature's Enduring Beauty:
Growing up in a serene farming community, Brett developed a profound appreciation for animals, a love for the simplicity of life, and a deep admiration for the unchanging beauty of nature. Together with her husband, she revels in Alberta's breathtaking vistas. From the majestic Rocky Mountains that grace the horizon, nestled amidst rolling foothills and expansive farm fields, to the charm of neighboring Calgary with its unique skyline against the mountain backdrop and the meandering Bow River, the natural wonders of the region provide endless inspiration for Brett's forest animal pieces and mountain scenes. Additionally, her six-year experience of living in Mexico added vibrant colors and diverse perspectives to her artistic palette.

Since 2014, Brett Heidi has developed a distinctive artistic style characterized by loose, large brushstrokes and the skillful use of undermixed luminous colors. Her technique evolved from a desire to capture the freedom and vivid brilliance of watercolor on a larger scale.
